Baking our own bread

Today we went to a windmill called De Zandhaas. It.s still working and they sell complete packages to bake your own bread. It was nice to walk in their store that looks like it looked 100 years ago. I took some pictures of the mill and the store. So tomorrowmorning, yeah!! fresh bread.

Hello Carla,

Thank you so much for visiting my blog to read the conversation I had with Andrea! Your comment was so touching I just had to come by here and see what your blog was all about! I can see why you are a friend of Andrea's...you share so much love here.

I love to make bread, but never have I purchased flour from such a traditional grinding mill! Thank you so much for sharing your lovely day with me. Now, I feel I know you just a little bit better!

The photo of you and your granddaughter is so very beautiful...she is a lovely little girl with a lovely grandma!

Best to you. Kim

Carla, this windmill is so beautiful, and the interior too! The scale and the rest of the things reminds me of my childhood and the tiny shops we call "Tante Emma Laden " today:)Thanks for sharing these pictures and I guess the bread must be delicious

I love flour, I think it has something to do with my grandpa being a baker, I'm also interested in flours from different countrys, I'm not sure why they vary but they do, I have a cupboard full, will have to try dutch flour. Your paintings are wonderful and full of expression.
